AAPIA–CFIA selects its Peer Evaluators based on their academic qualifications, professional experience, knowledge of higher education, and ethical commitment, ensuring competent, objective, independent, and evidence-based evaluations.
Academic Qualifications
Hold a professional degree and a postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline relevant to the program being evaluated.
Professional Experience
Have relevant professional experience in their field of expertise.
Leadership Experience
Have relevant professional experience in their field of expertise.
Academic Experience
Have experience in teaching, academic management, or higher education.
Ethical Suitability
Demonstrate integrity, objectivity, independence, confidentiality, and freedom from conflicts of interest.
Peer Evaluator Training
Successfully complete the AAPIA–CFIA Peer Evaluator Training and Qualification Program.
Selection and Training
A systematic process for the selection, training, evaluation, and qualification of Peer Evaluators, including verification of requirements, training in the AAPIA Accreditation Model, evidence analysis, and site visit simulation.
Those who successfully complete the process are admitted to the AAPIA Peer Evaluator Pool, subject to ongoing professional development and continuous training.
Application
Submission of the application and required documentation to participate as a Peer Evaluator.
Selection
Verification of qualifications, professional background, experience, suitability, and disciplinary relevance.
Training
Training in the AAPIA Accreditation Model, including its criteria, standards, instruments, and procedures.
Practicum (Observer)
Application of acquired knowledge through evidence analysis, exercises, and evaluation simulations.
Evaluation
Assessment of the knowledge, competencies, and performance required to serve as a Peer Evaluator.
Qualification
Admission to the AAPIA Peer Evaluator Pool upon successful completion of all established requirements.
