The AAPIA–CFIA international engagement network brings together recognition agreements, accreditation agencies, quality assurance networks, and academic and professional organizations in Engineering and Architecture, strengthening its participation in a national, regional, and international ecosystem of quality and cooperation.
This network is structured around four strategic areas: Recognition Agreements; Quality Assurance; Engineering: Education, Cooperation and Professional Representation; and Architecture: Education, Cooperation and Professional Representation.
Through these areas, AAPIA–CFIA strengthens its technical and methodological capabilities, keeps its accreditation models aligned with current international practices, promotes the comparability and substantial equivalence of educational qualifications, facilitates the recognition and mobility of graduates, and expands cooperation with accreditation agencies, universities, and professional organizations.
In this context, internationalization is a strategic component of AAPIA–CFIA, aimed at keeping its processes aligned with international standards and reference frameworks, while strengthening the quality, recognition, and positioning of Costa Rica within Engineering and Architecture quality assurance systems.
